value aligned living for those looking to meet devotion with discipline
it’s not too late to meet your year
We’re a few weeks into January as I write this. The notes and posts on goals and planning have started to die down, but that doesn’t mean that the desire to change has to dwindle as the weeks and months roll on.
Urgency can feel so big that once “the moment” passes, change feels further away than before. But urgency belongs to systems, not souls. You are allowed to desire change and meet your goals from a place of peace.
Maybe you’re one to set resolutions. Maybe you’re one to meet new habits along the way, without the need for a “1st of the month” or a Monday to spark change. Whatever your style, I’d like you to consider the roots of your change-making.
Do you meet the idea of change from a place of fear or desire? What do you sense shifting as you start to move in the direction of your goals? How can you find yourself in the process of shedding who you once were?
I have been using a system of planning over the last 18 months or so that was born out of an overwhelming feeling of misalignment between the way I was actually living and what I knew I wanted.
(Spoiler: I didn’t actually know what I wanted at first. I just knew that I didn’t want to keep living that way. That admission was all I needed to spark change. You don’t need to know everything for everything to start shifting.)
It didn’t happen all at once. It started with realising that I had become so lost in the patterns of the life I found myself in that I didn’t actually know what my values were.
The first question I had to ask myself was “what matters?” and that led me to “what are my values?” This was already a big step for me. The awareness of what I care about allowed me to see more clearly what felt in or out of alignment as I moved through my days.
I didn’t start with radical action. I started with honest awareness of what feels true to me.
This evolved and became a way for me to really unpick what living my values meant. Knowing this, I felt that this was the way forward, so I needed to make it actionable. “How can I live my values, intentionally and consistently?”
Creating space to know myself. To see how I can live from devotion. To plan for the future whilst enjoying my now. To give myself frameworks to check in and stay true, even as truth grows with me.
I landed on The Alignment System, a planner that I made for myself, which I have now chosen to share with you, for free.
Notice what matters to you, then let that inform your movement.
So yes, we’re a few weeks into 2026 now, but the path to your new life is evergreen and is always one step away. You can choose to take that step today.
I’d love to hear about what aligned commitment you’re moving towards this season.
It’s never too late to meet your life. It starts with meeting the moment.
sending you love,
always,
Daisy

I love this view on goal setting. Your point about where your desire for change comes from (is it fear, etc.) is so valid. This post really helped me breathe and think about my own goal setting and desires. Thanks for sharing 🤍
